Display:

Chromebook R 13 Convertible comes with 13.3 inch full HD 1920 by 1080 IPS display.  Last year I had a search grove of 14 for work and I had one of my favorite screens of last year it appears that the display on this is pretty similar.

Acer R 13 Convertible, sports a glossy finish. Instead now personally speaking I really loved the matte look of a 14-4 works display.

I was hoping that this would be a touch screen with a matte finish.

It seems that all convertible Chromebooks support the glossy finish, But just a thought regardless the screen is really crisp and bright.

processor and performance:

Acer Chromebook R 13 Convertible runs on a media tech m8 173 C 2.10 GB quad-core processor.

The processor designed to be mobile and it uses a fan lift design. It looks like some people were a little apprehensive online about the use of this processor.

I want to assure you all it actually runs quite smoothly I would compare the processing performance of this device to be somewhat similar to Samsung Chromebook plus.

it's not maybe just a slight step beneath so that means overall smooth performance no real lag after opening a ton of tabs of Google Docs sheets, YouTube videos, and so on though, I did notice after a few hours of heavy usage, that it started dragging ever so slightly from time to time.

I did put the device into the beta Channel at some point, to test this out on some Android apps from the Play Store as well as currently the Play Store is available for the eastern 13, but solely through the beta Channel.

I actually found the apps to run incredibly smoothly, I would likely attribute this to the design for mobile use processor.

Battery:

They are quoting this device at 12 hours of battery life. I brought the brightness down to my typical brightness level around 40 to 50 percent depending obviously on the devices display.

Maybe immediately I just never paid attention to this before, so part of my excitement but it quickly put my estimate over 14 hours of battery life.

Input methods:

The volume rocker on the side of Acer R 13 Convertible appears backwards.

I mean, if you push up or towards the back of the device when in laptop mode, it decreases the volume instead of increasing it that said.

If you are in tablet mode, it seems to be oriented correctly for a lack of a better description term.

The keyboard of acer chromebook r13 is nice; it is not backlit but still has very responsive keys and good key travel.

The trackpad of chromebook r13 is also fine smooth, operates just in the way you would expect.

Conectivity:

Chromebook R 13 Convertible has USB type-c port on for connection and charging.

Acer R 13 Convertible has a standard USB 3.0 port, which is a huge plus for the acer chromebook r13, as it seems like all the competition has actually done away with the USB 3.0 port.

R 13 Convertible also has blazing hot Wi-Fi capabilities.

Acer R 13   has Bluetooth 4.0 and I am happy doing it I had no trouble using Bluetooth speakers and input devices as well as my Wi-Fi being so responsive.

As I mentioned the USB ports on there so you can use an external hard drive, but there is also a microSD slot.

The R 13 Convertible has an HDMI port.

charging time seems really fast so far, so that's also awesome overall I think Acer  R 13 Convertible   is a really solid entry the price point is low and that's great, it means you've got a little more financial wiggle room for your accessories.

Verdict:

Acer Chromebook R 13 Convertible is solid and if you need a budget minded convertible device with insane battery life this is the winner and I cannot recommend this to you enough.
